Chennai-based Zoho Corporation has announced a new visual-first platform for collaboration at work called Vani. Teams will be able to brainstorm, plan and innovate together via the platform using whiteboards, flowcharts, mid maps, diagrams and video calls, Zoho said in a statement.

Employees could be planning a social media campaign, creating a sales pitch or building a product roadmap using Vani. The platform draws together all the data from desktop, drives and spreadsheets to make the process easy.

Vani follows a Space and Zone model so users can work in parallel with each other while still seeing the big picture. ‘Space’ is the overall canvas for the project while ‘Zones’ are sub-canvases within the Space to segment tasks by different contributors, functions or phases.

Users can access templates and kits from a library for strategy and planning and brainstorming. The kits have design elements, network diagrams and social media kits.

“Vani provides a comprehensive set of tools for all departments within one canvas, eliminating the need for app-switching, process building, or complicated onboarding, ensuring that SMBs can seamlessly ideate and execute across all departments,” Karthikeyan Jambulingam, Head of Product said.
