Human Mobile Devices (HMD) on Tuesday (October 7, 2025) launched a new 4G feature-cum-smartphone, the HMD Touch 4G, in India. The Finnish startup calls it a ‘hybrid phone’ and targets youth, students and blue-collar professionals at a feature phone price.

The HMD Touch 4G has a 3.2-inch touch display, cloud-based applications, a dedicated SOS ICE key, and real-time chatting and video calling through the Express Chat app in 13 languages across Android or iOS smartphones. The device also supports Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot functionality for data sharing.

HMD Touch 4G sports a 2 MP rear camera and VGA front camera. The dedicated ICE (In Case of Emergency) key (activated by three short clicks or a long press to avoid accidental triggers) provides quick access to emergency calls and Express Chat.
