Gruss brings a wealth of expertise in strategic content, audience engagement, and media innovation, honed through leadership roles at Sightline Media Group, where most recently he was editor-in-chief of all brands including Defense News. His experience and vision for content expansion will support SpaceNews in delivering premium, data-driven insights that serve space industry professionals and enthusiasts alike.

As CCSO, Gruss will be pivotal in developing custom client-facing solutions, expanding content offerings and enhancing user experiences. His role will align closely with SpaceNews’ strategic investment in people and technology, a vision shared by the entire leadership team to achieve long-term growth. The CCSO will collaborate with our Editor-in-Chief and Director of Digital Platforms to ensure seamless coordination in delivering new content formats that serve our current and future audiences—ranging from targeted newsletters to multimedia offerings such as podcasts and video series.
