Snapchat is rolling out a new lens format called ‘AI Video Lenses,’ which combines Augmented Reality and Generative AI, the company announced. The feature will only be made available for Platinum subscribers on the platform.

There are currently three lenses for options, including the fox lens, a raccoon lens and a flower lens, all of which blend seamlessly into a snap. The company has said they will be rolling out new AI lenses every week.

“These Lenses, powered by our in-house built generative video model, bring some of the most cutting-edge AI tools available today to Snapchatters through a familiar Lens format,” Snap said in a blog post.

Users need to select the lens they want and capture a snap. The AI video is generated and saved to Memories automatically. People can then easily share this with their friends or on their stories.
