To promote social innovation in India, the Infosys Foundation—the CSR arm of tech giant Infosys—has announced the Aarohan Social Innovation Awards 2025, offering Rs 50 lakh to each winner, with a total prize purse of ₹2 crore. The Foundation has invited social entrepreneurs from across the country to apply under three categories: education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

In its fourth edition, the awards aim to recognise and reward individuals, teams, NGOs and social enterprises developing unique technology-based solutions based on the three themes. These ideas will be evaluated on the potential to create a significant impact on the underprivileged communities across India. The foundation will support innovations that are effective, scalable, and sustainable.

“At Infosys Foundation, we believe in the power of innovation to address real-world challenges and uplift communities. We encourage social innovators from across India to step forward, share their ideas, and make a tangible difference,” said Sumit Virmani, Trustee, Infosys Foundation. He added that in the fourth edition, the purpose is to amplify innovation in these sectors.

The submission for the award will conclude on June 15, 2025. The entries must be of a fully functioning prototype or finished project and not just a concept, idea, or mockup, Infosys Foundation said. A panel of distinguished judges will evaluate the shortlisted participants to determine the final winners.
