The Moto Pad 60 Pro clearly screams tablet from the get-go. Its tall and light profile makes it effortlessly manageable in the hand, especially during prolonged usage. While the design may not reinvent the wheel, it does a commendable job at keeping things sleek and functional. One unique touch that caught my eye was the pen placement—it magnetically latches onto the back of the device just below the camera module, a neat and convenient trick I haven’t seen on many other tablets. It not only saves space but also ensures the pen stays secure.
What adds more finesse to the overall experience is the IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. The port layout varies depending on how you prefer to hold the tablet—landscape or portrait—but either way, it’s user-friendly. The glossy finish and 400 nits of brightness keep visuals sharp and vibrant, although reflections under harsh lighting might be a minor inconvenience. Still, it’s a substantial upgrade in this price bracket, especially with the TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free and Low Blue Light certifications that ensure eye comfort during long usage sessions.
OS
Running on Android 14, the pad offers a clean and modern user experience. Motorola has added a few smart enhancements without cluttering the UI. Features like Smart Connect let you seamlessly pair and interact with other Motorola devices—transferring files, copying text across devices, and even controlling your phone from the tablet.
Performance
Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, a competent SoC that balances performance and efficiency well. Whether it’s multitasking, switching between apps, or using creative software, the Moto Pad 60 Pro handles it all smoothly. It comes in two RAM variants—8 GB and 128 GB LPDDR5x—with our test unit boasting 12 GB paired with 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage, making it incredibly snappy for everyday operations.
For heavier workloads, the tablet doesn’t flinch. On Geekbench, it posted a respectable 1402 in single-core and 4364 in multi-core scores. The GPU score of 7999 further underlines its capabilities in graphics-intensive tasks. While it may not be a gaming beast, it handles titles like Call of Duty: Mobile and Asphalt 9 with ease, offering smooth gameplay and crisp visuals without thermal throttling or lag.
In its segment, the pad presents itself as a strong performer for those seeking power and versatility. Be it gaming, video editing, or running productivity apps, the tablet stands its ground, and even excels thanks to the fast UFS 4.0 storage and integrated ARM G615 MC5 graphics.
Camera
Tablets aren’t known for their cameras, but the Moto Pad 60 Pro puts in an admirable effort. On the back, it carries a 13 MP sensor with a flashlight, capable of delivering decent shots in daylight. The images come out reasonably sharp with balanced colours and good dynamic range. For scanning documents or quick snapshots, the rear camera performs reliably well.
In well-lit outdoor conditions, the tablet captures scenes with enough clarity and detail to be considered above average for a tablet. It doesn’t compete with smartphones, but for Zoom calls or the occasional social media upload, it more than does the job.
Up front, there’s an 8 MP camera that pleasantly surprised us. Selfies taken in natural light looked clean and lifelike. The front camera also performs well during video calls, offering clear visuals and good audio pick-up, thanks to the dual microphones.

Charging is handled by a 68 W fast charger included in the box, capable of juicing up the tablet quickly. In real-world usage, the tablet reaches from 0 to around 80% in under an hour, which is impressive for a battery this size. This fast-charging capability adds a layer of convenience for users on the go.
Verdict
The latest Moto Pad 60 Pro checks all the right boxes. With standout features like the vibrant 144 Hz display, capable MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, Dolby Atmos-enhanced JBL speakers, bundled Moto Pen Pro, and large battery with fast charging, the tablet offers a well-rounded package. If you’re in the market for a high-performing tablet, the Moto Pad 60 Pro brings a lot to the table without burning a hole in your pocket. It’s powerful, practical, and poised to make its mark among segment leaders.
However, one surprising omission is the lack of voice call support. While it might not be a dealbreaker for many, its absence could bother users looking for a truly all-in-one device. Android 15 out of the box was needed too.
