What’s expected from Google I/O 2025?
AI is once again expected to be the star of the show at this year’s Google I/O. The spotlight will likely be on the company’s Gemini models, with the much-anticipated Gemini 2.5 Pro update leading the charge. We can also expect updates on other AI-powered tools like DeepMind’s Project Astra and LearnLM, all pointing to Google’s continued push in the AI space.
There’s also a chance we’ll get an early look at Samsung’s Android XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan — positioned as a strong contender to Apple’s Vision Pro and slated to arrive later this year. Just a week ahead of the event, Google gave us a taste of what’s coming with a special “Android Show” livestream, where Android 16, the next version of the world’s most-used mobile OS, was officially unveiled.
