PS Plus free games: Here is what you can play this June 2025

If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, June 2025 is bringing a fresh batch of free games you can dive into right now. For those new to it, PS Plus is Sony’s subscription service that not only lets you play multiplayer games online but also gives you access to a rotating selection of free monthly titles, exclusive discounts, and cloud storage for your saves. Whether you’re into action-packed adventures or indie gems, this month’s lineup has something worth checking out.

If you’re a PlayStation Plus Essential member, June is stacked with some seriously good picks. Whether you’re into sci-fi shooters, survival horror, indie gems, or basketball showdowns, there’s something in here for you. Here’s what’s on offer:

  • Destiny 2: The Final Shape – Available since 28th May
  • Alone in the Dark (2024) – Dropped on 3rd June
  • Bomb Rush Cyberfunk – Dropped 3rd June
  • NBA 2K25 – Dropped 3rd June

Let’s be honest—Destiny 2: The Final Shape is the headline here. Sure, it technically launched in May, but it’s listed as part of June’s lineup and hey, we’re not complaining. This major expansion is being hailed as one of the best in Destiny’s run, making now the perfect time to jump back in if you’ve been away.

Next up is the 2024 Alone in the Dark reboot. Set in the eerie backdrop of 1930s Louisiana, you’ll explore the unsettling Derceto Mansion now a home for the mentally ill as you dodge cosmic horrors and try to unravel the mystery of The Dark Man. It’s creepy, stylish, and packed with suspense.

Also joining the party is Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a love letter to the cult classic Jet Set Radio. From the Dutch devs at Team Reptile, this one’s all about skating, tagging graffiti across New Amsterdam, and outrunning the law.

With electric visuals, a killer soundtrack featuring Hideki Naganuma, and a surprisingly rich story, this one’s an easy recommendation.

And if you’re all about the court, NBA 2K25 rounds out the lineup. It’s a great chance to get a feel for the game ahead of this year’s big release especially if you’ve been holding off on buying the latest sports titles at launch.
Long story short: June’s PS Plus Essential games are stacked.
