“This year, for the first time, we are extending Prime Day to three full days,” Akshay Sahi, Director, Prime, Delivery and Returns, India and Emerging Markets, said in a statement.
Amazon Prime Day is an annual event that offers deals and discounts across categories exclusively for its Prime members.
This year, Prime members will get early access to new product launches from both Indian and global brands as well as small and medium businesses across categories, including home & kitchen, fashion, grooming, jewellery, electronics, and more.
An Amazon Prime membership in India costs Rs 1,499 and gives members access to shopping and entertainment benefits for a year. The ecommerce platform also has a limited period shopping edition, at Rs 399.
Meanwhile, in the US, Amazon.com’s annual Prime Day sales event has been scheduled for July 8 through July 11, expanding to four days, as US shoppers and retailers are uncertain about product availability and prices amid President Donald Trump’s tariff mayhem.
