Nasdaq-listed software-as-a-service (SaaS) major Freshworks announced on Monday the appointment of Srinivasan Raghavan as its new chief product officer (CPO). With over two decades of leadership experience in the enterprise SaaS industry, Srinivasan will spearhead Freshworks’ product strategy and vision for its people-first AI-driven service software, designed to deliver exceptional customer and employee experiences. He will join the Freshworks executive management team, reporting directly to President Dennis Woodside, who was named CEO of the company in May.

“Srinivasan is a key addition to our team, leading innovation that drives scalable growth across our three key priorities: employee experience, artificial intelligence, and customer experience,” said Dennis Woodside.

Most recently, Srinivasan served as chief product officer at RingCentral, where he broadened the company’s offerings by launching cloud-based solutions for contact centres, marketing, and sales intelligence, thus generating new revenue streams. Previously, he spearheaded the development of AI-powered digital engagement and automation tools, including platforms for workflow automation, virtual agents, and assistive technologies for contact centre agents.

“Joining Freshworks at a time when AI is unlocking new possibilities for businesses to drive growth and operational efficiency is an incredible opportunity,” said Srinivasan Raghavan. “By integrating AI and workflow automation further across the Freshworks platform, we can deliver significant value to customers and shape the future of customer experiences and employee experiences together.”

In November, Freshworks reduced its global workforce by 13%, impacting approximately 660 employees, as part of efforts to streamline operations.

Founded in Chennai in 2010, Freshworks primarily targets small and medium businesses (SMBs) with its customer relationship management (CRM) software. Headquartered in both Chennai and San Mateo, California, the SaaS firm serves more than 68,000 customers, including American Express, Bridgestone, Databricks, Fila, Nucor, and Sony.
