Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge — a new addition to the Galaxy S series that puts slim design at the forefront. The line-up already includes – S25 Ultra and S25 & 25 Plus. Measuring just 5.8mm thick and housed in a titanium frame, the S25 Edge is positioned as a balance between portability and high-end performance. It features an AI-enabled camera system, continuing Samsung’s push toward integrating generative tools across its flagship lineup.

The device brings back the moniker ‘edge’ to the Galaxy line-up.

The Galaxy S25 Edge comes with a price tag of $1,099 (approximately Rs 94,000) in the US and INR Rs 1,09,999 in India. Let’s dive into the key specifications and features of this new device.

The design focuses on balancing compactness with resilience, offering protection for everyday use while keeping the device lightweight at 163 grams.

200MP Camera for Advanced Photography

The S25 Edge continues the Galaxy S series’ reputation for strong camera performance, featuring a 200MP wide lens designed to improve image quality, especially in low-light situations. It promises a 40% increase in brightness, resulting in clearer, more detailed photos in darker environments. The 12MP ultra-wide sensor includes autofocus, making it suitable for capturing detailed macro shots. The camera also includes AI-powered editing tools like Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist, which were brought over from the Galaxy S25 series to enhance user creativity.

Performance and Cooling

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, which supports AI processing and ensures smooth performance throughout the day. Samsung has also introduced a reconfigured vapor chamber, which is now thinner but broader, for improved heat dissipation during extended usage. The ProScaler feature provides a 40% improvement in display image scaling, while Samsung’s mDNIe engine optimizes visuals for better clarity and accuracy.

Galaxy AI Integration

The Galaxy S25 Edge integrates Galaxy AI across multiple apps to improve user experience. AI agents assist in managing tasks like scheduling and reminders through features such as Brief and Now Bar, which offer app integration and notifications for daily routines. Additionally, the device benefits from Google’s Gemini Live for enhanced camera and screen-sharing abilities, while ensuring that all personal data is processed securely via Samsung Knox Vault.
