Unicommerce CTO Bhupinder Garg steps down

Ecommerce software firm Unicommerce Esolutions’ chief technology officer Bhupinder Garg has stepped down from his post citing personal reasons, the company informed the stock exchanges on Wednesday.

Before joining Unicommerce in 2017, Garg had worked at companies such as Snapdeal and Amazon, among others.

Ankit Jain, who has been part of the team for over seven years, will now head the engineering function, while Rachit Srivastava, who has also been with the team for more than seven years, will take charge of the product development function.

“Both leaders have rich experience in their respective domains and have worked closely with Bhupinder over the last 7+ years and the company expects a smooth and uninterrupted transition of responsibilities,” the firm said in a filing.

Founded in 2012, Unicommerce offers technology solutions to manage various operations such as warehouse and inventory management, order management, omnichannel retail management, and seller management for ecommerce platforms.


The company currently offers three product platforms: Convertway, a marketing automation platform, Uniware, an order processing platform, and Shipway, a logistics management platform.

The company’s clients include new-age consumer brands like omnichannel eyewear retailer Lenskart, homegrown wearable and audio product brand Boat, skincare brand Mamaearth and online fashion retailer Myntra.It reported a 27% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its October-December operating revenue at Rs 33 crore. The Gurugram-based firm’s net profit for the quarter rose 62% on-year to Rs 6.3 crore, as it controlled expenses under various heads.
